Voters in the District of Columbia and Maryland will go to the polls on June 16 and June 23, respectively, in primary election contests. In DC, voters will pick party nominees for DC Mayor, Council, Delegate, and national political party roles; in Maryland, voters will pick party nominees for General Assembly, County Executive, County Council, School Board and other offices.
As a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization, the JCRC of Greater Washington is prohibited from directly or indirectly participating in, or intervening in, any political campaign on behalf of (or in opposition to) any candidate for elective public office. The JCRC does not endorse any candidates and does not contribute funds to any candidate for public office. However, the JCRC does provide opportunities to inform and educate voters about the candidates’ backgrounds and positions on important issues.
