JCRC Statement on Reports of Imminent Iranian Ballistic Missile Attack on Israel

The following is a statement from Ron Halber, chief executive officer of the Jewish Community Relations Council of Greater Washington, on reports that a ballistic missile attack from Iran against Israel is imminent.

“A ballistic missile attack from Iran — the world’s leading sponsor of terrorism for more than 40 years — represents a grave threat to the state of Israel and its people and cannot be tolerated. The Biden’s Administration's stalwart military support for Israel as it has defended itself from terrorist attacks over the past year is more essential than ever as Israel faces this new threat. We urge the United States and all of Israel’s allies to marshal their collective diplomatic efforts to prevent this attack from occurring, while simultaneously preparing to defend Israel militarily if any missiles are launched. We unequivocally and wholeheartedly support Israel’s right to defend itself against Iran, and urge the global community to do the same.”
