Delegate Kathleen Dumais

Delegate Kathleen Dumais

Delegate Kathleen M. Dumais is an American politician and represents the 15th District of the House of Delegates in the State of Maryland, encompassing the western and northern portions of Montgomery County. Born in La Jolla, California, Dumais grew up in Maryland and eventually pursued a degree at the University of Maryland School of Law. As an attorney, she specialized in family and juvenile law and had a career-long interest in education, at one point working as a teacher in Montgomery County Public Schools.

In 2002, Dumais was elected to the House of Delegates from District 15, which includes Potomac, Germantown, and a large swath of rural northern Montgomery County. She sits on the Judiciary Committee and has served on the Special Committee on Drug and Alcohol Abuse, the Rules and Executive Nominations Committee, and as the Parliamentarian for the House of Delegates.

Dumais was the Majority Leader for the House of Delegates in 2019.

Delegate Fraser-Hidalgo

Delegate David Fraser-Hidalgo

David Fraser-Hidalgo has represented District 15 in Montgomery County in the House of Delegates since 2013. He is a member of the Environment and Transportation Committee and is the vice-chair of the Montgomery County Delegation.  He is secretary and previous vice-chair of the Legislative Latino Caucus.

Delegate Fraser-Hidalgo has been a resident of Montgomery County since he was 5 years old. David attended Albert Einstein High School, Montgomery College, and St. Mary’s College of Maryland, where he graduated with a degree in history.

Delegate Fraser-Hidalgo has been a champion on several major pieces of legislation including clean energy, banning fracking, strengthening laws on underage drinking, and industrial hemp. In 2016 he was named Legislator of the Year by Mothers Against Drunk Driving. In 2015 he was named Legislator of the Year by the League of Conservation Voters for his work on hydraulic fracking moratorium and prohibition legislation. 

Delegate Marc Korman

Delegate Marc Korman

Delegate Marc Korman was first elected to the Maryland House of Delegates in 2014. In 2018, Delegate Korman was elected chair of the 24-member Montgomery County House Delegation, the largest delegation in the state legislature. He serves on the Appropriations Committee of the House of Delegate. In the fall of 2019, he was named the chair of the Transportation & Environment Subcommittee. He is the former chair of the Personnel Subcommittee on which he still serves and is a member of the Capital Budget Subcommittee. Delegate Korman also chaired the WMATA-Metro Work Group, a perch from which he helped pass dedicated funding for Metro and received a Legislator of the Year Award from the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce, the Green Legislator of the Year Award from the League of Conservation Voters, and the Special Regional Impact Award from the Council of Governments. Delegate Korman has also passed major legislation related to the environment, government and budget transparency, education, and more.

Delegate Korman was born and raised in Montgomery County, attended Montgomery County Public Schools and graduated from Richard Montgomery High School. He attended college at the University of Southern California and returned to Montgomery County while working on Capitol Hill. He earned his Master’s degree in Government from Johns Hopkins University. He went on to receive his law degree from the University of Maryland where he was awarded the Public Service Award. He currently practices law at a firm in Washington, DC and has been a co-recipient of the firm’s Pro Bono Award.
