HEARING SOMEONE ELSE’S STORY HAS THE POWER TO CHANGE YOU. 

In commemoration of Yom Ha'Shoah, Holocaust Remembrance Day, join us to dialogue with Holocaust survivors as they share their experiences. Become inspired to speak truth to power, seek justice, and fight against hatred of all kinds.

Community Wide Conversations (Registration is required. Select the hyperlink below to sign up for the events.):

  • Sunday April 11 at 11:00 am hosted by the JCRC in conversation with survivor, Peter Feigl, for teens & their families and educators
  • Tuesday, April 13 at 6:30 pm hosted by the JCRC in conversation with survivor, Peter Gorog, for teens & their families and educators
  • Tuesday, April 6 at 7:30 pm hosted by Adat Shalom Reconstructionist Congregation for a conversation with Howard Milchberg, son of Irving Milchberg, a leader of children who survived by selling cigarettes on the streets of Warsaw. Zoom link here.
  • Thursday, April 8 at 7:30 pm hosted by B’nai Israel Congregation
    • A conversation for teens with Esther Bergman who was born in Belgium and hid during the war.
    • A conversation for adults with Ruth Eisenberg

It is perhaps the JCRC of Greater Washington's most sacred obligation to host our local community's annual Yom Ha'Shoah remembrances in honor of the six million Jews killed during the Holocaust and of the survivors and liberators among us. Please join us in fulfilling this most sacred responsibility of remembrance by making a contribution to support JCRC's Yom Ha'Shoah commemorations and teen programming.

All donations of $250 or greater will be acknowledged in the program.
